Kane Brown Announces New Bar Coming To Broadway In Downtown Nashville

Did anybody ask for this?
Kane Brown is the next artist getting their own bar in downtown Nashville, confirming rumors that have been swirling since the closure of another bar last year.
Back in September, The Valentine located at 312 Broadway closed their doors about a year after being bought by The Elia Group, a hospitality company out of Michigan. The bar first opened in 2016 before being acquired by the company that also operates ZuZu, an Asian fusion restaurant in downtown Nashville that features an upstairs nightclub and “ultra luxurious lounge.”
As we reported at the time, the rumors were that The Valentine would be rebranding into a new Kane Brown-themed nightclub, with employees confirming that an artist bar would be moving in.
Well now we finally have confirmation.
The Valentine shared a teaser on their Instagram yesterday, featuring someone with Kane Brown’s unique tattoos driving through Nashville and exiting on Broadway into the bar. At the time, the “Miles On It” singer seemingly confirmed it was him in the video:
And this morning, the account rebranded to Kane Brown’s on Broadway:
In a press release, Brown spoke about his hopes for the new venue:
“We’ve really taken our time developing the bar. We wanted to make it a place that stands apart from everything else on Lower Broadway. I wanted to build a place that I want to hang out at, my friends want to hang out at and will be an unforgettable experience for anyone who visits. Nights in Nashville are about to hit a little bit different.”
The four-level, 11,400-square-foot space will include live music on the first floor, along with a third floor space for “bottle service and areas for private gatherings,” along with a rooftop that will feature “top-tier drinks and DJ music sets.”
Yep, sounds about right for the new Nashville.
No opening date for the new venue has been announced, though it’s expected to debut sometime this summer.
I think it’s safe to say that Kane Brown’s will follow the other concepts created by The Elia Group in going for a “high-end” luxury nightclub and cocktail lounge, but then again nobody’s really expecting Kane Brown to open a honky tonk playing actual country music on Broadway.
With the bar’s opening, Kane will join dozens of other country artists who already have their name in neon over downtown Nashville, including Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Kid Rock, Jelly Roll, Garth Brooks, Miranda Lambert, Morgan Wallen, Lainey Wilson, Luke Combs, and…well, pretty much everybody you can think of at this point.
I’ve said time and time again that all of these artist bars have completely stripped the character from Broadway. They’ve turned it from locally-owned honky tonks to massive nightclubs and bars owned by out of state hospitality corporations where drunk tourists flock to hear top 40 hits and dance to DJs with bottle service.
Just last week, another longtime, locally-owned Broadway venue sounded the alarm and signaled that they may be forced to close their doors after Acme Feed and Seed owner Tom Morales revealed that outrageous property tax increases could mean the end of yet another downtown Nashville staple.
If you like country music and small honky tonks, your options on Broadway are only getting more limited as property values skyrocket and out of state investment groups see dollar signs in neon. Hire a DJ, partner with a country artist and slap their name on the front of the bar, and watch the money roll in.
I guess we’ll have to wait and see what Kane Brown has planned for his space once more details are revealed, but if you’re a country music fan, I’m going to say it’s probably safe to plan on sticking to Robert’s Western World, Layla’s, AJ’s, or Chief’s.The post Kane Brown Announces New Bar Coming To Broadway In Downtown Nashville first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
