Ben White's header from a corner gave Arsenal a 1-0 lead in the first-half, before Viktor Gyokeres' finish from close range doubled Arsenal's lead early in the second. Alejandro Garnacho pulled one back for the hosts before a fine finish from Martin Zubimendi restored Arsenal's two-goal lead. Garnacho struck again late on with the game finishing 3-2.
Arsenal will now battle it out with Chelsea again first week of February as they attempt to secure a place at Wembley for the Carabao Cup final.
