Spiritbox to Play the GRAMMY Awards Pre-Show This Sunday

If you’ve been following the GRAMMY Awards for a while now, you know that rock and metal are largely relegated to the pre-awards show and pushed off to the side from the main event. It’s a joke, as are the awards (mostly), but at least this year there’ll be a live performance during the untelevised (it is livestreamed) festivities, as Spiritbox are scheduled to take the stage.

As one of the nominees for the ‘Best Metal Performance’ category this year for their song “Soft Spine”, the band was likely going to be there anyway. So it makes sense that they would be chosen to play the pre-show. I mean, I don’t see Ghost, Dream Theater, or Sleep Token taking the stage for an awards show that won’t get major attention or production values.

The pre-awards show will kick off on Sunday, February 1 at 3:30 EST from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. You can watch everything go down on the GRAMMYs YouTube page when the time comes.
